What we did: Concept Development, Community Engagement, Workshops
The International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) is the global representative of library associations. In 2016, they started a multi-year global conversation about the future of libraries, involving librarians from all countries of the world in a multitude of activities. VISSCH+STAM has helped IFLA design the conversation and develop the process for their global vision discussion. In addition, we have facilitated a selection of the meetings that are organized all over the world to involve as many voices as possible in the conversation.
For the kick-off meeting in Athens, Greece, we used innovative co-creation methodologies to engage 150 participants in a co-creation process. Together, we developed a joint statement that included all voices, and showed both the diversity of libraries and the ideas around which the library field can be united.
