Client: Ripon Museum Trust
What we did: Digital strategy, digital transformation
The Ripon Museum Trust is a series of three museums in Ripon, UK, which tell a story of social justice and encourages its visitors to reflect on the treatment of the poor and offenders. The organization wishes to be a model of how the past is used to create a deeper, more compassionate, and more equitable society. The Ripon Museum Trust has recently been named a National Portfolio Organization by Arts Council England. As part of this development, the Ripon Museum Trust asked VISSCH+STAM to develop a future-proof digital strategy.
To create the strategy, we set up a series of interviews and workshops with employees, volunteers, and other stakeholders and performed extensive desk research to develop an ambitious digital transformation that aligned with the unique nature of the museum. Together, we outlined a digital strategy that allows the trust to tell its story of poverty, law and order, and social justice more widely, get more people through the door and offer them a more immersive experience. The strategy has been approved and is currently being implemented.
